INTRODUCTION

The Prosecutor's Office to the Court of First Instance of Trikala is housed on the third floor of the Trikala Judicial Court Building.

The Trikala Judicial Court Building is located in a stone-built structure dating back to the Ottoman period, which originally served as the Ottoman administrative headquarters. Since 1915, it has accommodated the judicial services of Trikala. In 2008, during the tenure of the Minister of Justice, Sotiris Hatzigakis, the building was renovated and connected to the new wing of the Trikala Judicial Court Building, located adjacent to the original structure.

COMPETENCES

The Prosecutor's Office to the Court of First Instance of Trikala is a judicial authority whose territorial jurisdiction extends throughout the Regional Unit of Trikala. It is independent from the courts and from the services of the executive branch operating within the aforementioned Regional Unit.

It acts as a single and indivisible authority, with the mission of ensuring compliance with the law, protecting citizens and safeguarding public order.
