Lassithi Court of First Instance

The Lassithi Court of First Instance is the guardian of the legal order and the main pillar of the administration of Justice in the Regional Unit of Lassithi. With its historical headquarters in the Neapolis Courthouse, our Court of First Instance is committed daily to the defense of citizen rights, the observance of legality and the consolidation of a sense of security and equality in the local community. Our permanent mission is the correct, objective and timely administration of justice, harmonizing traditional institutional authority with the requirements of modern society.

Geographical and Administrative Structure

With the aim of effectively meeting the needs of citizens and the legal community, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of services, the Lassithi Court of First Instance is structured into its Central Headquarters and its Regional Units:

  1. Central Headquarters (Neapoli): It constitutes the administrative core and houses all the judicial departments (Civil, Criminal, Pre-Investigation Department, as well as the central administrative services).
  2. Ierapetra Regional Headquarters: It ensures direct access to justice and public service in the southern zone of the prefecture.
  3. Sitia Regional Headquarters: It covers the judicial and administrative needs in the eastern side of Lassithi.

Responding to modern challenges and within the framework of the country's new judicial map, the Lassithi Court of First Instance is steadily investing in digital technology. Through the full integration of national IT systems (OSDDY-PP and solon.gov.gr).
